8 days...

NEVER worked so hard or prepared so thoroughly for 50 hours of teaching in my life! I keep hearing our program coordinators' voices in my head, "You ARE America to them. They will remember everything you do." No pressure at all. ...DeAnn

DeAnn and Linda

DeAnn - About 5 years ago, my sister Lisa, while browsing on Craigslist of all places, came across an organization called We Teach In China. She promptly called me and said, "We have to do this some day!" Well, that someday is finally here! And the best part? Not only is my sister joining me on this adventure, but so is my dear friend and colleague, Linda. I teach 4 and 5 year olds at New City School in St. Louis, MO and will be traveling throughout China and teaching in Rugao, China for 26 days this summer. We are READY FOR RUGAO and all the adventures that lie ahead!! Thanks for coming along for the ride!

Linda - I teach 6th graders at New City School, and three years ago, China became a significant part of our social studies curriculum. When DeAnn approached me about We Teach in China, I was thrilled at the opportunity to travel and then teach in the place I'd only been reading about. I am so excited to be able to do this trip with DeAnn, with whom I've never been able to spend "quality time" such as this, and her sister Lisa, who I am finding is just as delightful as DeAnn. Let the adventure begin!
